I have been going to see Michelle since 2019, basically since I moved to London. She had always been an excellent judge of what will work, giving guidance and the steps to achieving new looks. Have changed my hair style and colour with her over several incarnations and I’m 100% grateful for all of her suggestions. The new saloon is cool too. Oh my days what an experience it was! An absolute star! Got asked in advance what are my thoughts and what I want to do, I sent some ideas and got the answer back with possible costs and what to expect on the day. She took extra care to make sure I get there, she walked me through every single step and explained what she is doing, she even mocked my hair to show how it will look like and talked me through the process (some clippers can do magic!), gave me amazing experience with such a personal touch, made me feel like my hair is not bad, gave me tips how to deal with it at home, send me some links to useful products but the most important I had such a rich conversation throughout and the day was filled with learnings. She absolutely transformed me and I left with the biggest smile on my face! What a service, there are no words to describe this experience, it’s extremely easy and painless to book, explain what you want and get the result that is much better than your imagination!

Michelle is the best hairdresser I have ever visited!
Michelle has been my hairdresser for nearly 2 years and every experience at Hackney Cowlick is incredible. In the past, due to bad hairdresser experiences, i lost my confidence and dreaded going, but Michelle has brought my confidence back. She genuinely cares about your hair needs and listens so intently. I would highly recommend Michelle - you won't be disappointed.

Michelle is such a wonderful hairdresser! I had 2 haircuts so far and both time had an amazing experience. Michelle listened carefully to what I wanted, gave suggestions, and she carried them out exactly as I hoped for (and more). She’s bubbly, funny, and sweet. I highly recommend her without any hesitation whatsoever.

Every single appointment at Michelle's is a joy! She is a super talented hairdresser and I always walk out feeling like a million bucks from her salon. She makes you feel super at ease and relaxed from the moment you step in the door so it really feels like such a treat to go there. Also you go home with lots of tips for easy upkeep of your haircut. Would recommend to one and all. I for one feel very lucky to have been recommended At Michelle's by a friend 😊

Michelle has been my hairdresser for many years. She’s very professional: knows a lot about styling and products, does amazing conditioning treatments and gives great practical advice about maintaining your hair. But she never makes you feel guilty, even if you haven’t been maintaining it well 😉 . Most importantly, she’s very warm and generous with her attention to clients. I always look forward to getting my hair cut!

Absolutely zero issues whatsoever, and recieved an amazing cut from Anita. I have quite parched, wiry and wavy hair, and am also pretty awful at being able to explain exactly what it is I want done to it, but despite this, Anita was able to work with the scraps of info I gave her to leave me with a cut and style I'm absolutely delighted with. I wouldn't hesitate to (and 100% plan to) visit again. Thank you!

I wish I had taken pictures of my hair beforehand to show you guys the difference but it is what it is. Anita takes your vision and turns it into reality, despite me not having a clear image prepared. She was quick with it too, I had to leave at a certain time for work, as she managed to do a wash, cut and blow dry all within an hour! I have now found my life-long hairdresser and extremely happy with her work :))))

Recently moved into the area and so delighted to have found Anita. without a doubt the best salon experience I’ve had. Such a warm, talented and professional stylist and such a perfectionist too!
Have recently had extensions put in , which look and feel amazing; so pleased with the natural look Anita achieved so brilliantly and the quality of the hair which was great value too. Can’t recommend her highly enough!
